Where did it start:
After moving down to Brighton to start his family a number of years prior, Joe joined expand in the summer of 2018 as a Principal Consultant, having previously spent 5 years helping to scale a now market-leading digital recruitment business in London from 2 to 60 heads. Joe had come up against expand as a competitor previously and so reached out directly once he knew he was keen to change businesses – he wanted to join a growing ambitious, forward thinking business with a warm and welcoming environment, so expand was a no-brainer.
Journey so far:
Joe joined to focus on the launch and growth of the eCommerce technology verticals for expand - an area not previously looked at by the company. Since he joined Joe has signed upwards of 80 new Clients and helped high growth tech vendors scale their senior teams across EMEA, North America and APAC and recently moved into the Associate Director role.
What’s happening now:
Joe currently heads up our marketing, eCommerce and retail technology business unit as well as supporting a number of key Clients with their global hiring strategies in support of impressive recent funding rounds and working on various C-suite and regional lead positions globally.
Where Next:
Joe’s focus is to continue to scale the marketing/ eCommerce/retail technology business unit and teams; help expand further accelerate their new Client acquisition roll out across the company and generally help drive plans for growth and expansion.
