The Role
Following a strategic internal reorganization, the company is seeking a high-impact Head of SMS to own and scale their messaging business unit. This role transcends traditional trading; it requires a commercial leader with an established reputation in the industry for building enterprise-grade SMS ecosystems.
You will be granted significant autonomy to develop the business strategy, focusing on expanding the African enterprise customer base, securing exclusive gateways, and transitioning the business toward high-value, exclusive carrier-side partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute the global SMS strategy; lead a team of three Account Managers to exceed revenue and volume targets.
- Enterprise Growth: Shift focus toward high-margin Enterprise customers in MENA and secure hyperscaler traffic.
- Carrier Partnerships: Lead the carrier-side strategy, prioritizing exclusive gateway agreements and direct connectivity to maximise MNO relationships.

Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience within the SMS/A2P/Messaging industry.
- Proven track record of managing international Account Management teams.
- Strong technical understanding of the "carrier side" of SMS compared to Voice services.
- Ability to excel in an agile, high-growth environment that prioritizes speed and flexibility.
