Position Overview

The Global Data Center QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a world-class Quality Assurance and Quality Control program across all data center construction projects globally. Based in Jakarta, this role ensures consistent quality standards, compliance with design specifications, and adherence to global best practices throughout the project lifecycle—from design to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Program Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a global QA/QC framework, policies, and procedures tailored to data center design and construction.
    • Oversee quality performance metrics across multiple project regions, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring continuous quality enhancement.
  • Project Oversight:
    • Monitor QA/QC activities on all active data center sites, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and client requirements.
    • Conduct periodic quality audits and site inspections (remote and on-site) to verify adherence to global standards.
  • Technical Standards & Documentation:
    • Review and approve quality documentation, including ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action plans.
    • Support design reviews to ensure constructability and quality alignment from the earliest project stages.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering, construction, safety, and commissioning teams to embed quality practices throughout all project phases.
    • Coordinate with regional QA/QC leads and external contractors to ensure consistency across global operations.
  • Training & Development:
    • Provide training and mentorship to regional QA/QC teams to standardize procedures and improve competency.
    • Lead workshops on lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed quality performance reports for executive leadership.
    • Track and analyze key quality KPIs (defect rates, rework costs, NCR closure times, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in mission-critical facilities, preferably in data center construction.
  • Proven experience managing multi-regional or global QA/QC operations.
  • Strong understanding of international construction standards (ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, IEC, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally (20–30% as required).
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Tier III or Tier IV data center projects.
  • Familiarity with MEP and structural quality control in large-scale industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of commissioning and integrated systems testing.
  • Exposure to digital QA/QC systems and construction management software (e.g., Procore, BIM 360, PlanGrid).
