The Opportunity: Role Overview
We are exclusively seeking a Carrier Partnership & Business Development Lead to be the driving force behind our client's carrier strategy, with a primary focus on new Mobile Network Operator (MNO) and Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) partnerships, particularly across the Africa and Middle East regions.
This is a senior enterprise sales and partnership negotiation role. The core objective is to achieve new, innovative commercial contracts and strategic agreements that enhance the client’s global connectivity platform. You will be instrumental in strengthening their network and optimizing the complex technological and commercial relationships that underpin their product.
Core Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be accountable for the full lifecycle of carrier management and business development:
- Strategic Market Development: Proactively analyse market trends, leverage a deep understanding of eSIM and GSMA-related technologies, and identify new telco carriers and partners globally. Strategically onboard these partners to align with the approved carrier relations roadmap.
- Complex Contract Negotiation & Execution: Lead high-stakes negotiations to optimize commercial terms, secure favourable pricing, and define critical service features and technology integration standards within carrier agreements.
- Internal Operational Leadership: Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Technical teams to ensure the seamless, efficient implementation and ongoing maintenance of all carrier agreements.
- Performance & Portfolio Optimization: Conduct continuous analysis of business performance metrics for the carrier portfolio and prioritize new feature integrations and product improvements based on supplier capabilities and market demand.
- Process Efficiency: Drive optimization across the entire carrier management workflow, from initial vetting and onboarding through to contract renewals, ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
