Web3 has revolutionised the gaming world, with a shift from traditional gaming platforms, that has allowed players to engage with interactive play in innovative and decentralised ways. Web3 or blockchain gaming activity has grown nearly 2000 percent from previous years with more that 1.1 million unique active wallets that were connected to blockchain games in the first quarter of 2022.

This is no exception for our rapidly growing Web3 based gaming Client as they have already seen success through their recent round of funding of $10 million and backed by some of the leading investors in the industry such as Dragonfly, DeFinance Capital, Animoca Brands, Razer, Dapper Labs and Maven 11.

Our Client is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Lead Artist that will be creating 3D and 2D assets (Props, Environments, Characters, Texture).

Under the responsibility of the Producer and with the support Creative Director, you will be in charge of :

  • Managing, rallying and developing a 3D/2D artists team
  • Overseeing and organising the art production to meet the requirements in terms of quality of the project while respecting technical, time and budget constraints
  • Building up the art direction for the project by working closely with the Art Director and the Technical Artist
  • Participating with the Lead Developers and the Technical Artist to the development of the pipeline and the tools needed to complete successfully the art production
  • Creating 3D and 2D assets (Props, Environments, Characters, Textures…)

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years’ experience as a 3D Artist and ideally a first experience as a Lead
  • An excellent knowledge on how we develop a game, the constraints and the interactions between all the trades of the production
  • Strong knowledge on current 3D software (Maya, ZBrush, Substance…)
  • You have good communication skills and you are known for your art appraisal
  • You have a great team spirit and you are proactive
  • A good art perception
  • A professional English proficiency
