Are you an experienced sales professional with a proven record in the mobile communications industry?

Our Client, a leading global provider of telecommunications solutions seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead its A2P (Application-to-Person) messaging growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new A2P messaging customers across key mobile network operators (MNOs) in the APAC region.
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers at MNOs, understanding their specific needs and challenges.
  • Negotiate and close profitable A2P messaging contracts, ensuring optimal pricing and mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the A2P messaging landscape in the APAC region, identifying new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, engineering) to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing support for new A2P messaging customers.
  • Track and analyse market data to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of regional A2P messaging marketing initiatives.

Someone who:

  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales within the telecommunications industry, preferably with a focus on A2P messaging or related mobile messaging solutions.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the APAC telecommunications market dynamics and MNO landscape.
  • Has a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills at a senior level.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in a major APAC language (e.g., Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese) is a strong advantage.
