Wehype is the go-to solution for gaming influencer marketing to help game publishers and brands reach gaming communities across the globe. They do this though creating strategic and actionable influencer marketing plans for game publishers, brands and agencies, then matching this with the relevant creators and their communities to execute a successful influencer marketing campaign.

The Challenge

As their business expanded into the US market they opened a new office in LA and needed to expand with key hires that could drive revenue in the region.  The challenge with this role was finding a strong salesperson in LA who could be in the office full time and had an existing network within large game publishers so that they could hit the ground running.

The Approach

We initially set up a meeting with Wehype's hiring and C-suite leadership team to discuss the requirements for the role and gain a true understanding of the impact of this role on their business. With this knowledge we then went to market, sourced candidates across LinkedIn and LOXO, and set up interview calls accordingly

The Numbers

Ninety-four candidates were targeted with twenty-seven candidates initially qualifying.  Nine were interviewed by expand with four candidates shortlisted.  The hire was made in six weeks.

The Outcome

Our top candidate fit the role and salary range to exactly what Wehype were looking for due to their network with large gaming publishers and indie publishers, sales experience and gaming background. He was also the perfect culture fit with the Wehype team as he is very passionate about gaming!  After completing 3 successful interviews, an offer was made.
