Technical Sales Engineer - Semiconductor Equipment - FR


Tokyo Electron is a leading global company of innovative semiconductor production equipment.


The Challenge

We were briefed to assist Tokyo Electron to find a Sales Engineer to join their EMEA Sales Team. The main challenge was to find a candidate with both a solid technical background and commercial acumen - someone who could demonstrate true potential to learn new skills and an understanding of the semiconductor market.

The Approach

We created a target list of companies where we felt a suitable candidate could come from. We had to then narrow the search to only include potential candidates located within the commutable distance from company's regional office in Grenoble. The successful candidate was a referral.

The Numbers

In the end, we approached fifty-plus suitable candidates. Six candidates were shortlisted, and two candidates were interviewed.

The Outcome

As a result of thorough market-mapping and our diligent approach to qualifying potential candidates, we were able to complete this recruitment process within 7 weeks. We have demonstrated a solid understanding of the business needs as well as our Client’s company culture. On the back of our success, the Client has asked us to assist with another search project in the same location.
