Tokyo Electron are a leading global Semiconductor equipment manufacturer.

The Challenge

With a massive increase in demand for semiconductor manufacture in Europe it had become essential to hire a process engineer in Leuven, Belgium. The challenge was finding someone able to be based in Leuven who already has experience of using TEL Clean Track tools  Another challenge was Belgian tax law!

The Approach

This was an exclusive, contingent piece of recruitment. Most essential was understanding the Client need and the technical experience needed. We conducted research into the industry, used prior knowledge and referrals to identify candidates as well as using social media (LinkedIn).

The Numbers

54 candidates were targeted with 21 candidates initially qualifying.  5 candidates were shortlisted and 4 interviewed.  The hire was made in 7 weeks

The Outcome

After significant effort to identify and qualify candidates with the relevant experience a hire was made. The successful candidate a qualified engineer with prior knowledge of the company’s tools. He made a great impression on the team and it was an easy decision to make in the end.
