
Senior Sales Manager
Tata Communications is a multi-billion dollar global telecommunications provider, powered by mobility, IoT, security, cloud and growth in digital transformation.
The Challenge
Tata were looking to increase and grow their already established, strong sales team within Continental Europe and needed to find an individual who had in-depth experience in building relationships, closing complex deals and had excellent technical knowledge.
The Approach
The position required a lot of leg work and a lot of commitment, drive and effort. We investigated the market in Continental Europe, specifically in the Netherlands, and qualified a number of individuals until we found the perfect match.
The Numbers
One hundred and sixty-three candidates were initially sourced with forty-seven being presented to Tata. Ten reached the second stage with three candidates being shortlisted. The hire was made in six months.
The Outcome
The candidate came from a competitor but had a personal interest in joining Tata. They have gained an employee with excellent knowledge of the market, years of customer relationship experience, and a high level of sales ability. There was a slight delay in the candidate joining due to personal reasons, but we kept communicating on a regular basis between both candidate and Tata, and all were happy upon an agreed start date.
