Tata Communications is a multi-billion dollar global telecommunications provider, powered by mobility, IoT, security, cloud and growth in digital transformation.
The main challenge was having to keep this position completely confidential. The reason for this hire still remains confidential.
We began by mapping out a suitable list of candidates to contact. Started contacting them one by one, having in depth discussions to ensure they were fully qualified - all without disclosing company name. We proceeded via sending NDA’s to the candidates to sign. Once signed (and upon receiving proof) we had another discussion to disclose company name and dive deeper into the discussion. It was a slow yet precise search which worked very well.
65 candidates were mapped, with 16 candidates initially qualifying. 16 were interviewed by expand, with 9 candidates shortlisted and a hire made in 3 months.
Due to the nature of this position, the process took 3 months. We were between two final candidates. The position went forward to the candidate who, all round, was the highest qualified.
The successful candidate came from a competitor and was highly experienced in UCC CX and had strong experience leading and developing a high achieving team. They have brought a hands-on, positive and determined approach, and have already begun building an exceptional team poised for far-reaching success.
