Superscale is a series “A” European Data Analytics business that supports the global Mobile Gaming sector. 

The Approach

Having built a successful business based on reputation and clear customer value Superscale were seeking an experienced sales leader who could take them on the hyperscale journey.  The hire needed to be someone who had delivered proven success numerous times and could build a sales process that would deliver global scale at pace. Not an easy task as they had a very high bar and wanted someone who was better than the best. They were open-minded as to which market the candidate could come from as long as they had sold SaaS and were the best sales leader available.  We all agreed that a search was the best way forward and after deep investigation of their business need embarked on a process to contact every SaaS sales leader in the UK. Getting people interested wasn’t too much of a challenge. Getting the best person wasn’t so easy and Superscale were thorough in their approach.

The Numbers

263 candidates were targeted, with 28 candidates initially qualifying.  14 were interviewed by expand and 8 candidates shortlisted. The hire was made in 9 weeks.

The Outcome

It took a bit longer than we wanted as the Client had high expectations but after a tough negotiation both parties got what they wanted. We hired a sales leader with significant SaaS scale up experience who has had an immediate impact on the revenue and is now hiring a global team with us.
