Editorial Manager

Red Havas offer earned, social, and experiential storytelling with a content focus. They provide a range of services including brand PR, corporate PR, and influencer management. With the overall goal to be the best at content across all the channels at their Client’s disposal: media, web, content, events, social.

The Challenge

Red Havas are experiencing high levels of growth and were at capacity with their workload.  They needed to bring on an Editorial Manager who could quickly get up to speed and thrive in a fast-paced agency environment and be able to work across multiple concurrent projects within multiple industries.

The Approach

The search required us to map out the agencies within the UK and find an individual with the right level of experience as well someone who had been working across a wide range of content.  This meant covering the larger established agencies as well as the more niche independents to ensure we could find a suitable candidate within the budget we were given.  We interviewed candidates, basing questions around the type of content they had been involved in and going through portfolios and examples of work to find the right match.

The Numbers

One hundred and twenty candidates were initially identified and contacted, five CV's were sent to Red Havas, with three candidates being interviewed.  One hire was made.

The Outcome

We found a great candidate from a smaller independent agency who was looking for an opportunity to break into a larger agency and who had a real breadth of experience across multiple types of content.  They wrote blogs, eBpoks, scripts for podcasts, social posts, and much more!  A win for everyone involved.
