Having recently secured Series A funding and built beachheads across a number of verticals it had become essential to hire an experienced Account Director help strengthen and scale existing Client relationships with global brands and retailers. The Account Director needed to join and make an impact quickly ensuring they were able to manage key stakeholders internally and externally.
This was a classic search where the most important aspect was getting a true understanding of the business need and company culture. Having interviewed three key stakeholders in the business to better understand the need, expand took the time to research the media and e-commerce sectors for target companies with synergy in terms of solutions and culture.
139+ candidates were targeted with 26 candidates initially qualifying. 12 were interviewed by expand with 4 candidates shortlisted. The hire made in 5 weeks.
After four full-on weeks of deep search and selection, an offer was accepted. The individual hired came from a global media agency where they had been managing key Clients across the CPG and FMCG verticals. The person hired was used to dealing with c-suite executives on a global scale and was looking for a rewarding role away from the more corporate gaze of the media agency world.
