Kaifa Metering is a growth stage Smart Meter manufacturer.


The Challenge

After much recent success our Client was seeking to strengthen their technical support team to ensure they could continue to provide the level of service their customers have become accustomed to.

The Approach

A classic search approach was utilised using expand's extensive network in this market. Firstly, identifying relevant candidates on a variety of platforms and using referrals from existing contacts. Making an initial approach and qualifying the candidates’ fit for the role and for the company culture. This is a small team in the UK and having the right cultural fit was key. Once a shortlist had been established and CV's sent, initial interviews were arranged and an offer made.

The Numbers

  • Forty candidates were targeted with eight candidates initially qualifying and being interviewed by expand, with four candidates shortlisted.  The hire was made in five weeks.

The Outcome

After a well-oiled recruitment process an offer was made and accepted. The successful candidate had around 9 years of relevant experience in the energy & utilities sector and was looking to return to work after maternity leave. The flexibility to work from home perfectly matched with both her and the Clients needs and made for a perfect fit.
