Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier is the international wholesale division of the Deutsche Telekom Group. As one of the world’s leading wholesale carriers, DTGC satisfies the requirements of Deutsche Telekom Group’s international affiliates (T-Mobile, DTGBS, T-Systems) and more than 900 external customers worldwide.

 

The Challenge 

The role requirements involved 3 key specifics: languages, location and expertise within the roaming/mobility services, and a quick onboarding. These challenges meant the pool of candidates were limited, and due to the location, could mean long notice periods.

The Approach  

Due to our in-depth of knowledge in this market, we were very targeted in our approach as to the relevant competitors in this space. We found that a large proportion of candidates didn’t meet all three specifics so had to ensure we were delving deep! We engaged with our network and explained the role and asked for recommendations – which in this case proved invaluable; the hired individual was recommended to us. He was able to join Deutsche Telekom within a matter of weeks so was the perfect hire.

Forty-plus individuals were initially identified, one was formally presented and one hire was made.
