Field Services Engineer, US
ClassOne is a semiconductor equipment manufacturer producing high-performance electroplating and surface prep systems for processing ≤200mm wafers.
The Challenge
ClassOne were expanding due to high demand of their wet process equipment across the semiconductor industry and as a result, needed strong technical field service engineers to grow with them.
The Approach
Expand utilized their internal networks across LinkedIn and Loxo to identify relevant candidates. We had to develop a strong understanding of ClassOne’s location requirements and develop new and existing relationships to find the right fit. A strong candidate based on the west coast with a full background in Wet Process equipment. He was approached and actively looking for work having had his contract just come to a close. With all the necessary skills (and more), the hiring manager and the candidate built a good level of communication and robust relationship to get them working together on a permanent basis.
The Numbers
We approached thirty-three candidates within our direct networks, and four were shortlisted, one candidate was offered the position within after the holiday season which was 2 weeks after the initial contact was made. He started the next day.
The Outcome
The successful candidate took a liking to Client's goals and moulded well with the Hiring Manager. They had a prior background working for a large competitor under contract which fit the future of the client and hiring manager well. They ended up getting a strong offer to start work with and the Field Service team, supporting installations, PM, upgrades and more, across the East Coast.
