Field Services Engineer, US
ClassOne is a semiconductor equipment manufacturer producing high-performance electroplating and surface prep systems for processing ≤200mm wafers.
The Challenge
ClassOne were expanding due to high demand of their wet process equipment across the semiconductor industry and as a result, needed strong technical field service engineers to grow with them
The Approach
Expand utilized their internal networks across LinkedIn and Loxo to identify relevant candidates. As they were already in our networks, it was a simple phone call to engage the relevant profiles and understand if this was the best fit for them, but also the business. We did this by asking qualifying questions based around ClassOne’s requirements. A strong candidate with a background in the industry had recently moved to the area and was looking to continue their career in a progressing and exciting business. Shortly after the first meeting and facility tour, they were offered a position. Expand worked with ClassOne to make the position into a wider fitting role, primarily down to the candidates in-depth experience, demanding a little more from the position in-terms of responsibilities
The Numbers
We approached twenty-four candidates within expand's direct networks, and four were shortlisted, one candidate was offered the position within a two week period due to an exceptional fit with the culture.
The Outcome
The successful candidate had a strong fitting personality and moulded well with the Hiring Manager. They had a prior background working for a similar business and could offer expertise and efficiency in the areas ClassOne were looking for. They ended up making a “hot-shot” role, allowing the candidate to work closely with the internal process teams, whilst supporting the Field Services employees across the Northern US.
