Reacting to the growth of our global customer base, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our new team in Asia.

Based in Manilla, the team will assist our consultants in Europe and the US, who have been working hard to meet the demands of our customers as they continue to go from strength to strength despite the obvious challenges over the past two years.

The team launch is the latest in a series of significant developments since the successful MBO in January 2021, and it’s perhaps our most exciting yet!

So, how did we land on Asia for our first overseas team?

We started by reaching out to our partners and clients who had been in a similar position to us and had found a need to open an office overseas.

Like them, we looked at traditional hubs that facilitate a global reach, such as South Africa, India and various countries across South America, but many spoke very highly of the teams they’d built in Manilla and cities across the Philippines.

Culturally, there were several similarities between the Philippines and Europe given its history and heritage, but it was the people we spoke to, their passion and attitudes towards work and family that really shone through.

Family, in the Filipino culture, is the most important thing and this is something that struck a chord with the team back in the UK.

We see expand group as a family, and already in the short time we’ve been working together, both teams have welcomed each other in, which has been fantastic to see.

Finally, without question, Filipinos are some of the friendliest, most hospitable people we’ve ever met, and we cannot wait for our teams to spend more time getting to know each other and building brilliant relationships together.

The launch of the new office marks an incredible step forward for everyone at expand group and it’s one we’re hugely excited about.
